Rose Buds
A new trend is budding this season that suggests designers are seeing things through rose colored glasses. The soft romantic hue- toughened up and became a more muted tone for the fall season. It is a change from the neon inspired 80's colors that have also made a recent come back. Victor & Rolf and 3.1 Phillip Lim contrasted the dusty mauve and rose shades with more masculine cuts to create sexy and tailored power suits. Christian Dior, Lanvin, Bottega Veneta went more feminine and draped models in flowing gowns and ruffled dresses. Ralph Lauren and Dries Van Noten used the rose color scheme for every day wear. A rose is a symbol of many positive images and that might be what people need to get out of the dreary mode the world can be absorbed in. Makeup colors also mimic the look.

Paco Rabanne has come out with a new cologne for men named, One Million, which is packaged as a gold bar and has the logo one million engraved on the front. Three French perfume experts came up with the fragrance notes which consist of exotic ingredients such as; blond wood, blond leather,patchouli, and grapefruit Rabanne says ancient civilizations have always revered gold as a source of seduction. It also symbolizes wealth, power, and luxury. There is another limited edition called One Million Luxe which comes in gold, but has an additional diamond crown. It is 100 ml and is refillable. The notes are slightly different with blood orange,amber,and other unusual scents. If you want to feel like a million, maybe buying this fragrance will give you a richer aura or you will bank on smelling nice.

Roger Vivier
Roger Vivier is a high end shoe designer who trained with Christian Dior. He is not only artistic, creative and had a passionate drive about his work, but was the ultimate Parisien. He is famous for his pilgrim shoe which is so named because of the buckle and the Stilettos another hallmark with a clear or futuristic skinny heel. Ava Gardner and the Beatles shopped there frequently. He uses exquisite fabric and materials to create the fantasy shoe which also became well known in Catherine Deneuve's "Belle du Jour". His first store opened in Paris and he also has a boutique on Madison Avenue. The largest Vivier boutique just opened in Hong Kong. The latest style is the the thigh high boot which will be seen frequently on the runways for the fall/winter 2009/2010 season. Some of Vivier's collection is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Karl Lagerfeld recently said he did not know who Heidi Klum is. Klum is one of the biggest supermodels currently and is a main host of Bravo's Project Runway. She was also a Victoria's Secret Angel and has been in numerous magazines. One finds it hard to believe that a high end designer is not acquainted with Klum. Heidi Klum is puzzled too and has bought the Lagerfeld label before he even became head designer for Chanel. Maybe it's Victoria's Secret.

Kronos Repairs Hair in No Time
Kronos is a Greek word that means time. The Kronos hair care line is a shampoo, conditioner, Phyx Repair Mask, and Liquid Theory Detangler that states it works on the hair shaft, scalp and follicles to improve hair's luster, body, general health, volume, hydration and maintain its' color retention. Ana Sui Joins Target and the Gossip Girls
Anna Sui will be showing her new fashion line that will be at Target soon. The clothing is named after the characters on "The Gossip Girl" and the outfits reflect each girl's style. On Thursday September 10th from 11 A.M. and Friday and Saturday from 11 A.M. to 8 P.M., she will be part of NYC's Fashion Night Out at a pop up store in Soho. The actresses of "Gossip Girl" will also be in attendance. The temporary store will be held at 54 Crosby and Spring Street. Anna Sui is also coming out with a new fragrance named Rock Me which will feature model Agyness Deyn.
Stam has Stamina
A recent clique of models is the fashion's world new industry pick and Jessica Stam is one of the rising stars. She was born in Ontario and grew up with four brothers and wanted to be a dentist. Ironically, a modeling agent discovered her at a coffee shop. Since then, she has been on the runway for all the top designers and has become a muse for Marc Jacobs who named a handbag after her, the Stam bag. She has the poise and haute fashion look of someone twice her age which enables her to pull off looks from Dolce and Gabbana to Prada. Stam also appeared in the movie "Agent Orange". She has done work for Victoria's Secret. She is best known for her striking blue/ gray ice colored eyes.
